I've got answer from Squid yesterday and I asked him to tell about everything here. But.. it seems, he hasn't done this yet.
Long story short: Squid is looking for a fulltime job right now and he will have less time for the engine from now on...
But! Squid didn't abandon the engine! He promised to do his best to release the upcoming update as soon as possible.
